How does microdermabrasion work?
A handheld device is used by the therapist to gently remove the upper layer of skin. You may feel a slight sanding sensation, but it is not painful. Treatment of the entire face takes about 30 to 40 minutes, and treatment of the neck takes about 20 minutes.

How soon will I see results?
The majority of clients need several treatments before they see results. Your therapist may prescribe a patient treatment weekly, every two weeks, or monthly to address signs of ageing.

Is there anything I need to do after microdermabrasion?
You will need to use a moisturiser or other skin care product at home in order to protect your skin following treatment.

Will there be downtime?

Are there any possible side effects?
Microdermabrasion can cause pink or red skin and slight swelling after treatment. Swelling usually resolves within one day.
If you tend to develop dark spots after acne or an injury heals, your risk of developing more dark spots may increase. This risk is minimal if microdermabrasion is performed by a skin therapist.
When can I safely get another treatment?
The skin recovers quickly following microdermabrasion, since the procedure treats only the top layer of the skin. After a week, you can repeat the procedure without any problems.
