RADIO FREQUENCY
The fractional radiofrequency technique combines dermal stamping with radiofrequency energy. This is a natural way of re-building collagen and elastin that is applied to the skin in order to achieve results. The radio-frequency therapy is a treatment that causes a thermal reaction in the dermis through the use of low-level radio waves. Through the use of heat, unhealthy cells and fibres are metabolised, producing stimulation that stimulates the production of healthy new cells. By doing so, you will be able to add structure, reduce pore size, reduce acne scars, and provide overall skin rejuvenation.
Since everyone’s skin is unique, book a complimentary consultation with one of our therapists to discuss your treatment outcomes.
RADIO FREQUENCY TREATMENTS
Brighten and firm up your skin through the power of radiofrequency combined with micro-needling. This treatment induces a powerful, natural healing response which increases skin elasticity, cell regeneration, and collagen production.
FAQ
Is there a certain number of Fractional RF treatments I need to see results?
This can differ between individuals depending on the type of skin they have and concerns that they have. Your skin therapist will be able to devise a treatment plan based on your specific needs during your initial consultation. It is highly recommended that you do a minimum of 4-6 treatments at monthly intervals in order to see significant results.
Is fractional RF painful?
A person's pain tolerance varies from one person to the next. Although this treatment is completely non-invasive, if you have a low pain tolerance, it is suggested that you purchase topical anaesthetic at a pharmacy and apply it to your skin at least 15 minutes before your appointment.
How long does Fractional RF treatment take?
Depending on the area of the body that is being treated, the treatment can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 45 minutes.
Is fractional RF safe to perform on pregnant women?
Pregnant women should not use this treatment because it is not safe for them. If you are pregnant, you should seek medical advice before attempting this treatment.
After a cosmetic injectable or laser treatment, how long should I wait to undergo fractional RF?
We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks. If you plan to have any cosmetic injectables or laser treatments, you would be well advised to consult your Skin Therapist in advance so they can tailor the treatment plan to your specific needs.
Is there downtime with Fractional RF?
There is a minimal amount of downtime. Redness, flaking, and a bit of swelling may be experienced by you, depending on the severity. Usually, this type of side effect subsides within three to five days with the proper aftercare, if they happen. As a means of reducing downtime after fractional radiofrequency treatment, we recommend the LED Light Therapy Skin treatment. The LED Light Therapy Skin treatment will not only reduce inflammation, but will also assist in wound healing.
What's the difference between fractional RF and skin needling?
Both skin needling and fractional RF produce controlled wounds that trigger the synthesis of new collagen and elastin fibres. Dermal stamping and radiofrequency are combined in Fractional RF as a way to stimulate collagen and elastin production organically. By using radio frequency, collagen fibres are influenced by deep thermal effects, causing them to contract. After the treatment, the skin will look and feel tighter.
